The Get Paid To (GPT) Program Glossary

Spend some time googling around the Internet, and you'll come across many different ways of earning money online. It might be overwhelming, given the many different ways that you can use to get paid. Worry no more, because I'm about to compile a definitive guide to Get Paid To (GPT) Programs.

I'll try my best to list the various types of GPT Programs available online, as well as give a short description of what they are all about. I'll also add in a short line about their earning potential, which is what everyone wants to know about! Not all programs are created equal, and while some will bring in the big bucks, you'll barely earn enough to make it worth your time in others.

So without further ado, let's have a look at what's out there on the Internet!

Paid to Click (PTC)

Earn money by getting paid to click

These programs require you to click and view an ad for a certain period of time in order to get credit for it. Some sites even ask you to solve a CAPTCHA, so as to prevent users from using autoclickers to view ads for them.

Each ad view is usually priced between $0.001 to $0.05, so in a worst case scenario, you might have to view 1000 ads just to reach $1. However, most sites usually have a referral system, that will allow you to increase the amount you earn from the site.

One good PTC site I can recommend is Neobux; check out my getting started guide if you're interested!

Paid to Read (PTR)

Make money by reading emails online

PTR programs are usually through your email. You sign up with the site, choose some categories that you're interested in, and the system sends you mail periodically for you to read.

These kind of programs are very similar to PTC programs, except instead of clicking on ads, you receive the ads right in your email inbox. Just like PTC programs, having a solid referral network will help you to increase your earnings in such programs.

One such program that I'm in currently is Emailcashpro; a while ago I did a detailed guide on them, so check it out if you want to get started!

Paid to Surf (PTS)

Make money online by surfing the Internet

Once highly popular, these programs died out quickly after the dot-com crash in 2001. Essentially, members had to install a special toolbar that displayed ads while they browsed the web. The viewbar would track what websites the user was looking at and deliver targeted ads to them.

This category is all but dead nowadays. Besides, I wouldn't want to install any program on my computer that would track my browsing history. Nowadays there are a lot of malicious programs on the Internet and we should be careful of what we install.

Paid to Upload

Upload files and earn money online

This is an interesting category. The basic idea is that you upload a file to a website, then share the link with as many people as you can. It can be a picture file, or a document, or just about any kind of file.

Payment is usually around $0.001 per unique download, which means you need to get decent traffic to your file if you have any hopes of making decent money. Also, don't upload any illegal content, else your file might get taken down and all your payment will be forfeited!

Paid to Take Surveys

Get paid money to take surveys online

Thousands of companies all over the world spend millions annually on market research. One area of that is surveying their customers in order to find out their needs and wants. Hence, these companies produce surveys and people who help them complete it get paid just for sharing their opinions.

Survey payments can be good, ranging from $2 to $10. If you belong to a very specific group that is being targeted, you might have surveys that pay out even more. It all depends on your demographics and what kind of people the survey companies are looking for.

The one survey site that I swear by is iPanelonline SG, which has new surveys available every 3-4 days and pays good money. I've already received two cashouts from them, so they're definitely paying! Learn how to get the most surveys by reading my guide.

Do tell me if I've missed out on any GPT programs that are available on the Internet!

Celyst
